Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Painkiller AI.

How does Painkiller AI find conversations?

Painkiller AI uses AI-powered search to scan forums, Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms. It identifies conversations where people are actively looking for solutions based on your monitor queries.

What platforms does Painkiller AI monitor?

We monitor multiple platforms including Reddit, LinkedIn, Discord, GitHub discussions, Indie Hackers, and various forums. Our coverage continues to expand.

How often should I run my monitors?

Most monitors work well with daily schedules. Use hourly for time-sensitive opportunities, weekly for broader topics, and manual for testing new queries.

Can I edit or delete monitors?

Yes! You can edit monitors at any time. Deleted monitors can be restored. You can also temporarily deactivate monitors without deleting them.

Can I filter monitors by platform or time period?

Yes! Monitors include advanced filters that let you narrow your search. You can filter by platform (Reddit, LinkedIn, GitHub, etc.) to focus on specific platforms where your audience is active. You can also filter by time period (Last 24 Hours, Last 7 Days, Last Month, Last Year) to find recent conversations. These filters are optional and can be combined for more targeted results. You'll see which filters are applied on each monitor card.

How does the free plan work?

The free plan includes 3 lifetime monitor runs. This means you can successfully complete 3 monitor runs total (not per month). Once you've used all 3 runs, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan to continue running monitors. This limit helps you try out Painkiller AI and see the value before committing to a paid plan.

How does usage-based pricing work?

Each plan includes a monthly usage allowance in dollars. Monitor runs consume usage based on search complexity. Usage resets monthly for paid plans. The free plan has a different model: 3 lifetime monitor runs instead of monthly usage limits.

What happens if I exceed my usage limit?

For paid plans, monitors will stop running until your usage resets (monthly) or you upgrade your plan. For the free plan, once you've completed 3 monitor runs, you'll need to upgrade to continue. You'll receive notifications when approaching your limit.

Can I customize notification emails?

You can add multiple email addresses per monitor and choose between immediate or batched notifications. Batched notifications can be daily or weekly at your preferred time.

How accurate are the AI summaries?

Our AI summaries are designed to highlight the key pain points and needs expressed in conversations. They're a helpful starting point, but we recommend reading the full conversation for context.

Can I provide feedback on search results?

Yes! You can rate any result as good (thumbs up) or bad (thumbs down) using the rating buttons on each result. When you rate a result, you can optionally provide feedback explaining why it's good or bad. This feedback helps improve search quality over time. You can change or remove your rating at any time.

Can I export results?

Currently, results can be viewed and saved within the dashboard. Export functionality may be added in future updates.

Is there a mobile app?

Painkiller AI is a web application optimized for mobile browsers. You can access it from any device with a web browser.
